Coming Soon to PEC

County Docs is thrilled to welcome Dr. Emily Johnston and Dr. Erika Crowley to Prince Edward County.

Dr. Crowley moved to Belleville to complete her residency at Queen’s University. She was drawn to Prince Edward County for its vibrant arts, food, and natural beauty. As a new mother of twin girls, she is excited to raise her young family in the community.

Dr. Johnston also completed her residency in Belleville through Queen’s University. During that time, she quickly fell in love with the County and is excited to now call it home. In her spare time, she enjoys baking, cooking, and spending time outdoors.

Recruitment news

Highlights:
1.County Docs has successfully recruited two new physicians, Dr. Emily Johnston and Dr. Erika Crowley.
2.County Docs will attend an international recruitment event in Birmingham, UK, in June.
3.Ongoing recruitment efforts continue through U.S. and Australian ad campaigns and upcoming domestic engagement opportunities.

We are very excited to share that not one, but two new physicians have chosen Prince Edward County as the place to build their practice. This marks another significant milestone for the County Docs program and reflects the continued appeal of our community to incoming physicians.
Recruiting two physicians in a single quarter is a major win and will have a meaningful impact on improving access to primary care locally. We look forward to supporting both physicians as they transition into practice and become part of our healthcare community in the coming months.
Looking ahead, recruitment efforts remain active both locally and internationally. County Docs will be attending a recruitment event in Birmingham, UK this June, continuing our efforts to connect with internationally trained physicians. We are also maintaining our targeted U.S. and Australian digital ad campaigns and will be attending the Western University Family Medicine Resident Retreat in May to engage with future physicians early in their careers.
In addition to recruitment efforts, the Prince Edward Family Health Team continues to support residents without a family doctor by rostering patients directly to the team, where care is managed by Nurse Practitioners. This model is helping improve access to care while recruitment efforts continue.

By The Numbers - Q1 Highlights

• 6 new leads engaged this past quarter
• 3 site visits from prospective physicians
• Actively following 21 leads, 3 of which are considered high-potential.
