Highlights:
1. Cross-border Campaign Launch
2. Attendance at Western University’s Resident Retreat
3. Spring Physician Appreciation Event
This quarter marked the launch of our American-focused campaign, designed to attract U.S.-trained physicians to practice right here in Prince Edward County. With a strong rural practice model, lifestyle appeal, and a welcoming community, we’re positioning PEC as a top choice for physicians looking north of the border. With the new Accelerated Pathway to Licensure for US-trained physicians, we thought this was the right time for the launch.
In May, we attended the Resident Retreat at Western University, where we connected with residents exploring rural family medicine. These events are an important part of building relationships early and putting PEC on the radar for new grads.
On June 20th, we hosted our annual Spring Appreciation Event at the County Cider Company. It was a heartfelt evening of gratitude for our local physicians, whose dedication and compassion continue to shape the health and spirit of our community. Creating space for authentic connection is an important differentiator for County Docs, and we invest heavily into it. This supports our mandate to put equal amounts of focus on retention as we do on recruitment.
By The Numbers - Q2 Highlights
• 8 new leads engaged this quarter
• 1 site visit from a prospective physician
• Actively following 18 leads, 5 of which are considered high-potential
Since we’ve started our program, we’ve helped bring 9 physicians to PEC. As we look ahead to the summer months, our team remains focused on nurturing leads, planning future visits, and continuing to build a thriving, sustainable physician team here in Prince Edward County
